Sweet Alyssum (Lobularia maritima)

In the language of flowers, Sweet Alyssum symbolises “worth beyond beauty”.

Known for its sweet honey-like fragrance, it is associated with emotional balance and protection. The Greeks believed it could calm anger and soothe tempers, hence its name formed from “lyssum” (madness) and “a” (not).

When planted, Sweet Alyssum actively contributes to the health and balance of your garden ecosystem.

Great businesses thrive on exceptional marketing.

The unassuming nature of a great brand means that it creates a buzz, and you appreciate it fully, without really knowing it’s there.

Well-crafted messages blend seamlessly with your products, and services, contributing to the health and growth of your brand.

Whilst content can pack a punch, it is balanced, and works with, rather than against, the other elements of your business. It is bold and unafraid to stand apart from the rest, but without “lyssum”, or madness—it makes clear sense, and draws in your customer, again and again.

A Sweet Story

As a wedding gift, my Mum gave my husband and me two beautifully framed botanical prints.

My husband’s was of Heather, and mine, Sweet Alyssum. Several months later, on the back of the frame, we found a note: “Sweet Alyssum - a small flower symbolising beauty, grace and wonder.

Even today, I keep it close as a reminder that it’s often the smallest, most purposeful things that make the greatest difference.
